Adelaide

Spent a few days in the youth hostel of Adelaide. After traveling the whole time and mostly sleeping in my small tent it felt quite nice to stay in a real room and a real bed for some time. Also nice to stay in some place for some time for a change and catch some breath, think about the last month's experiences and - most of all meet some people! Youth hostels or backpackers are not only inexpensive places to stay but they often have some common kitchens where you can cook your meals, sit and have some chat with other travelers.
Most of the travelers I met in the youth hostel were at the age of about 20-27, have just finished their school or university studies and having some time-out in Australia traveling around on a travel and work permit. They work in some place for two weeks up to a few months picking berries, being a nanny, as a waitress - whatever. After having earned some money (and got lots of new experiences), they travel further for some period until they search for the next job.
